The IIT BHU BTech programme in Civil Engineering is a four year engineering programme at the undergraduate level. The BTech Admission at IIT Varanasi requires participation in the common counselling process, JoSAA. The minimum qualification for the BTech course is HSC (10+2) in the subjects PCM/PCMB. They are as follows: Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from the tuition fee. Students from GE, OBC-NCL, EWS categories whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum will also receive the full exemption from the tuition fee. Candidates from GE, OBC-NCL, EWS categories whose family income is Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakhs per annum will receive an exemption of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
