It must be noted that each candidate will have to appear and pass in all the five subjects of Group A in PSEB class 5 exams 2026. The subjects include First Language (L1) - Punjabi (501)/ Hindi (503)/ Urdu (505), Second language (L2) Punjabi (502)/Hindi (504)/Urdu (506), English (507), Mathematics (508), and Environment Education (509). Moreover, there will be an activity based subject in Group B.

Punjab Board Class 5 Exam Pattern 2026
As per the details provided in the official scheme, it is compulsory to get minimum 33% marks in total of theory and CCE provided that the candidate has obtained minimum 25% in theory of each subject. Health and Physical Education is a practical / activity based subject, for which examination and Evaluation will be done at school level. Marks obtained in this subject will not be shown on DMC issued by the Board. The school will maintain the record of marks obtained in this subject.
