IIEST Shibpur Admission 2025: Eligibility, Selection Criteria & Exam Dates

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur (IIEST Shibpur) is known for its flagship B.Tech program. Admission to the B.Tech program at IIEST Shibpur requires a higher secondary degree (10+2) with at least 75% marks and a valid score on the national-level entrance exam (JEE Main). Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the most demanding specialisation at IIEST Shibpur. IIEST Shibpur JEE Main CSE opening and closing cutoff for the open category gender-neutral category is 8066 and 15062 for the home state and 6068 and 14635 for the other states. 

IIEST Shibpur's B.Tech tuition fee is INR 62,500 per semester for General/OBC/EWS students with a family income above INR 5 lakhs, and INR 20,833 per semester for SC/ST students with a family income between INR 1 lakh and INR 5 lakhs.

IIEST Shibpur offers a four-year B.Tech program in various disciplines, including Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Architecture. Access to the B.Tech program is based on a candidate's HSC score (75% minimum) and JEE Main score, followed by centralized JoSAA Counselling. The JoSAA counselling will start soon. IIEST Shibpur M.Tech. Admission 2025

IIEST Shibpur offers four-year M.Tech programs in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and other disciplines. Admission to these programs requires a bachelor's degree with a CGPA of at least 6.5 (or 60% aggregate marks for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates and 6.0 CGPA/55% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and a valid GATE score. Admission is granted through the CCMT counseling process. 

IIEST Shibpur MBA Admission 2025

In addition to its engineering programs, IIEST Shibpur also offers a two-year management program. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a CGPA of at least 6.5 (or 60% aggregate marks for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates, and 6.0 CGPA/55% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates), as well as a valid score on a national-level exam such as the CAT or CMAT. 

IIEST Shibpur M.Sc. Admission 2025

IIEST Shibpur offers two-year postgraduate degrees in Chemistry, Applied Geology, Applied Mathematics, Physics, and Food Processing and Nutrition Science. Admission is based on a candidate's bachelor's degree CGPA (6.5 or 60% for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates, and 6.0 or 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and IIT JAM score.

IIEST Shibpur offers PhD programs in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, and other disciplines. Applicants must have a master's degree and one of the following individual fellowships: UGC, DST, or CSIR/INSPIRE. Candidates who have qualified for any of these fellowships are exempt from the institute's written test, but they must still participate in the interview round.
