UGC NET Result 2024 for December session is expected to be announced by Friday. Once announced, candidates will be able to download their UGC NET scorecards by visiting ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The National Testing Agency successfully conducted the UGC NET exam from January 3 to 27, 2025. Along with the result, NTA will also issue the final answer key on the official website.
The UGC NET result is prepared by calculating the scores using the final answer key. The exam conducting authority will finalise the UGC NET scores by following the marking scheme and normalization process prescribed by NTA. Candidates must note that no re-evaluation requests will be entertained by the authorities, once the result is announced.
UGC NET marking scheme 2024
As per the UGC NET exam pattern, there is no negative marking included in the marking scheme. NTA follows the UGC NET marking scheme while examining the scores for each candidate. Check the marking scheme below:

- In case a question is found to be incorrect or has multiple answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question will be given marks.
- If a question is dropped from the UGC NET exam, only the candidates who have attempted the question will be awarded 2 marks.
UGC NET Final Answer Key 2024
Along with the result, NTA will issue the final UGC NET answer key on the official website. Candidates will be able to calculate their marks using the final answer key, once released.

Will there be re-evaluation of UGC NET result 2024?
There shall be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the UGC NET result. Once the scorecard is released, the score and percentile obtained by the candidates will be final. NTA will not entertain any requests regarding the same by candidates.
How many students appeared in UGC NET exam 2024?
A total of 6,49,490 candidates appeared in the UGC NET 2024 December session. The exam was conducted in 85 subjects in 284 cities across the country. The overall attendance rate was recorded at 76.5 %.
Students who do not qualify in this session for UGC NET exam will still be eligible to appear in the next session. National Testing Agency will release exam dates for the next session a few weeks after the result is declared.
