MICAT 2025: Dates, Registration, Admit Card, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Result

The MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is a national-level computer-based exam conducted annually by the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA). MICAT 2025 will be held in two phases: the first phase will be held on December 7, 2024 and the second phase will be conducted on January 27, 2025. The exam assesses candidates' aptitude in areas such as divergent thinking, written communication skills, verbal ability, and general awareness about contemporary issues, particularly in media and communication. MICAT registration 2025 last date is November 22, 2024.

Candidates aspiring to secure admission to MICA's flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications (PGDM-C) or the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program must appear for MICAT, in addition to having a valid score in one of the following exams: CAT, XAT, or GMAT. MICAT includes sections on psychometric analysis, descriptive writing, and multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering various abilities.

The final selection for MICA's programs is based on a combination of the MICAT score, group exercise, and personal interview (GE-PI), along with the performance in the CAT/XAT/GMAT exams. MICAT 2025 Dates 

MICAT 2025 will be conducted in two phases- MICAT I and MICAT II. Candidates can appear for both phases. After the completion of both phases, MICA will select the best performers for the Group Exercise (GE) & Personal Interview (PI) round. 

MICAT 2025: Registration

The application process for MICAT 2025 is conducted online at mica.ac.in. According to the official website, the registration for MICAT I opens in September and closes on November 22, 2024 while the application process for MICAT II will run from November 25, 2024 to January 11, 2025. 

To complete the application process, candidates must pay a registration fee of INR 2,100 via debit card, credit card, or other online payment methods like UPI. Candidates must keep the following documents ready for the MICAT Registration 2025:

• A recent passport size photograph
• Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
• Class 10th & 12th mark sheets 
• Qualifying degree certificate 

MICAT 2025: Eligibility Criteria

MICA has set certain eligibility criteria for candidates wishing to appear for the exam. Check the MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 below.

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). A degree from any stream is valid.
• They must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education in format of 10+2+3. 
• Candidates must have secured a valid score in any of the following entrance exams- CAT, XAT and GMAT. 

Note: Candidates in the last year of their graduation can still apply for MICAT 2025. There is no age limit for candidates appearing for the exam. 

MICAT 2025: Admit Card 

The MICAT Admit Card 2025 will be released on, mica.ac.in. Candidates can download the hall ticket containing crucial information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, signature, exam centre, etc. Those who registered for the MICAT 2025 successfully will be able to download the admit card, a few days before the exam. 

According to the official website, the admit card for MICAT I will be available on December 4, 2024 while the MICAT II Hall Ticket will be issued on January 22, 2025.

MICAT 2025: Exam Pattern 

Candidates must be aware of the MICAT Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2025 in order to perform well. According to past years’ trends, the question paper consists of three sections: psychometric test, description test and an aptitude test. The exam duration is 2 hours 25 minutes and it will be conducted online. There is negative marking in Section C of the question paper which tests General Awareness, Verbal, Quantitative  Abilities and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning. 

MICAT 2025: Syllabus

MICAT 2025: Result 

The MICAT 2025 results for both phases will be released in the form of scorecards, typically a few weeks after each exam concludes. Candidates who appear for MICAT I 2025 can expect their results by the last week of December 2024, while those taking MICAT II 2025 will receive their scorecards by mid February 2025.

The results will be available for download on MICA’s official website, mica.ac.in. Following the release of results for both phases, MICA will shortlist candidates based on their performance in either MICAT I or II. The final selection process will take into account the candidate’s CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, MICAT performance, and the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) stages.
