The Govind Ballabh Pant University of Technology and Agriculture (GBPUAT Pantnagar) provides undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in the fields of engineering, agriculture, management, and computer applications. Admission to the university is contingent on students' performance in the entrance exam, which is administered by the university.

The primary program offered at GBPUAT Pantnagar is the B.Tech. and B.Sc. in Agriculture. Admission to the B.Tech. program at GBPUAT Pantnagar requires a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2). Selection for these programs is solely based on merit in the JEE Mains examination, followed by counselling conducted by the Uttarakhand Technical University. Admission to the M.Tech. programs at GBPUAT Pantnagar is determined by students' GATE qualifying marks in the subject (major) they wish to pursue. In the event of any available seats, admission will be granted based on the student's CGPA/percentage (%) of marks in their B.Tech. The applicant must have achieved a GPA of at least 6.000/10.000 or 3.000/5.000 or secured 55% marks in aggregate if the scales mentioned are not applicable in the Bachelor's degree from the respective Institutions/Universities.

Nevertheless, for M.Tech. seats in Agricultural Engineering majors intended for candidates from Other States, admission will be facilitated through an Entrance Examination organised by ICAR. For admission to the MBA or MBA (Agribusiness) program at the university, individuals are required to take the CAT or CMAT exam and demonstrate a commendable performance. Additionally, candidates must engage in a group discussion and interview organised by the university. GBPUAT Pantnagar M.Sc. Admission 2024

To enrol in the DBT-supported Master of Science in Agricultural Biotechnology program at the university, candidates are required to initially participate in the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) exam, organised by the DBT Regional Centre for Biotechnology in Faridabad. Successful performance in the GAT-B will lead to inclusion in a roster of eligible candidates. Subsequently, the university will conduct online counselling to admit students from this qualified pool.

For admission to the doctoral program at GBPUAT Pantnagar, candidates from other states have the option to apply for various Ph.D. programs at the university.
