 Established in 1960, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Technology and Agriculture (GBPUAT Pantnagar) is a state public university located in Pantnagar, Uttrakhand. GBPUAT Pantnagar has eight colleges approved by the relevant regulatory bodies for its various programs, such as UGC, and is also a member of All India Universities (AIU). GBPUAT Pantnagar admission in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in engineering, agriculture, management, and computer applications are based on the entrance exam, which will be conducted by the university. GBPUAT Pantnagar B.Tech. Admission 2024

GBPUAT Pantnagar admission to the B.Tech. programs (except B.Tech. Food Tech.) are based on their scores on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The counselling for these admissions will be carried out by Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU). Registration for the JEE exam will commence in November.

Only residents of Uttarakhand can apply for undergraduate and master's degree programs at the university, except in the following cases:

GBPUAT Pantnagar admission to the M.Tech. programs, students will be admitted based on their GATE qualifying marks in the subject (major) in which they are seeking admission. If there are any vacant seats, they will be filled based on the student's CGPA/percentage (%) of marks in B.Tech. The student must have secured at least a CGPA of not less than 6.000/10.000 or 3.000/5.000 or 55% marks in aggregate in case of the Institutions/ Universities where these scales are not applicable in the Bachelor's degree.

However, admission to seats for Other State candidates in M.Tech. Agricultural Engineering majors will be made through an Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR. If there are not enough domicile candidates of Uttarakhand to fill all of the sanctioned seats, the remaining seats will be filled with candidates from other states. To get into the MBA or MBA (Agribusiness) program at the university, one must take the CAT or CMAT exam and perform well. One will also need to participate in a group discussion and interview conducted by the university. To get into the DBT-supported Master of Science in Agricultural Biotechnology program at the university, one must first take the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) exam, which is conducted by the DBT Regional Centre for Biotechnology in Faridabad. If one performs well on the GAT-B, they will be added to a list of qualified candidates. The university will then conduct online counselling to admit students from this list.
