The Central University of Rajasthan was founded in 2009, under the act passed by the Government of India. The University was established to become one of India's most dynamic and vibrant institutions, dedicated to providing cutting-edge education to all learning communities. 

Funded and recognized by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, it aims to deliver quality education to everyone, particularly individuals from modest socio-economic backgrounds who are seeking access to high-quality learning opportunities.

CURAJ has been graded with ‘A++’ by NAAC. In the NIRF 2024 rankings, the Central University of Jharkhand has been ranked in the 151-200 rank band. Previously it has been ranked 19th in 2021 by India Today in the best universities in India category.

The vast 500-acre campus in Ajmer city with a facility-enabled campus, CURAJ has features like well-equipped, ICT-enabled seminar halls, classrooms, laboratories, and offices. The entire University campus is Wi-Fi enabled, offering one Gbps connectivity. Additionally, the University provides four hostels for boys and four for girls, accommodating approximately 2,850 students.

Central University of Rajasthan offers B.Tech at the undergraduate level and several postgraduate courses as well as PhD courses. Admissions to these courses are based on the eligibility criteria set by the university and valid entrance exam results. The exams accepted by CURAJ are CUET, and JEE Main apart from other eligibility exams conducted by the government.

CURAJ Admissions 2025: Courses and Eligibility

The Central University of Rajasthan mainly offers postgraduate programs with B.Tech as the primary undergraduate degree program. The diversity of postgraduate programs offers students options to choose from. The admission to these courses listed below in the table is determined via Central government eligibility exams like CUET, JEE Main, GATE, etc.

CURAJ Placements

The Central University of Rajasthan or CURAJ has a dedicated Career and placement cell, that manages student placements and career counseling. The placement cell assists University students with career planning, preparing for selection tests, summer placements, internships, and final job placements. It also works to connect with senior leaders from esteemed companies to build strong industry relationships for the University.

With the main aim to provide appropriate guidance for selecting careers that align with students' qualifications and strengths. Assist in training for soft skills and aptitude development, to organize training that meets industry needs, help students find suitable job placement opportunities and to serve as a connection between students and potential employers. 

CURAJ placement statistics for the academic year of 2023, the students were placed with a median package of INR 3 LPA. A total of 120 students from the two-year PG program and 19 from the Integrated programs received placements. A few major recruiters at CURAJ were HCLTech, TCS, Amazon, Wipro and more.

CURAJ Infrastructure and Facilities

CURAJ is equipped with all the modern state-of-the-art facilities, providing students comfort and ease. A few facilities and resources at the Central University of Rajasthan are listed below:

• Central Library: A central library with access to major journals, a collection of research resources, e-books, texts offering students access to all these resources in one place.

• Sports: Both Indoor and Outdoor sports facilities like, indoor stadiums, Football ground, athletics track, Cricket ground, Basketball court and more are available near hostels for students.

• Shopping Complex, banks, gyms, healthcare facilities, and Yoga centers are other important infrastructural facilities available for students.

• Classrooms: The University offers ample classroom facilities across its various schools and departments. In total, there are 85 classrooms and seminar halls to support the academic programs offered by 32 departments. Additionally, laboratory classrooms are available to enhance the learning experience. Furthermore, the University has 14 smart classrooms, created by the Digital Learning Technology Support Center (DLTSC), located in each academic building, featuring state-of-the-art infrastructure.
• Laboratories: The University has 92 laboratories including program research labs, faculty projects labs, and computer labs at the departmental level.
