The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has cancelled the Bihar Police Constable Exam 2023 conducted on October 1, 2023 due to a massive cheating scandal. During the exam, many candidates were found cheating with electronic devices. In light of this incident, CSBC has also postponed the written exams scheduled for October 7 & 15, until further notice.

The CSBC released the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2023 notification on June 8, 2023 on the official website to invite applications for 21,391 constable posts. The online application process began on June 20, 2023 and ended on July 20, 2023.

The Bihar Police Constable Admit Card 2023 was released on September 11, 2023 on the official CSBC website. Candidates can download their admit cards using their registration ID/mobile number & date of birth.

As per the prior exam schedule, the Bihar Police Constable exam was scheduled for October 1, 7 & 15 (two shifts per day). Due to the massive cheating scandal, the board had to cancel the exam conducted on October 1, 2023 for both the shifts. Legal action has also been taken against the candidates who were caught cheating in the exam.

The Bihar Police Constable selection process consists of four main stages: written test, physical fitness test, document verification, and medical examination.

Candidates who pass the written test will be eligible to appear for the physical fitness test. The physical fitness test is further divided into three events: running, shot put, and long jump. Candidates must pass each event individually to be considered for the final merit list.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the physical fitness test only. The marks scored in the written test will not be considered for the final merit list.

Successful candidates must then appear for document verification & medical examination.
