IISER Mohali Admission 2024 : Dates, Fees, Admission Process, Eligibility and Selection Criteria

IISER Mohali Admission 2024: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISER Mohali) will be conducting IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024 for selecting candidates for admission to various programmes at all the IISERs. This year, IISER Bhopal is conducting the IAT 2024. The aptitude test is scheduled on June 9, 2024. 

The registration window for IAT 2024 has been closed. The exam conducting authority will release the hall ticket for the test on June 1, 2024. Tbe result for the same will be out on June 25, 2024.

Candidates must keep in mind that different IISER offer different programs. IISER Mohali offers Dual Degree Program in Science (BS - MS Dual Degree Program), Integrated PhD program and PhD program.

IISER Mohali Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the various programmes at IISER Mohali must keep in mind the eligibility criteria that are listed below.

• Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination with science stream in 2022, 2023 or 2024 from any board recognized 
• Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.  
• Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in their Class XII board. Reserved candidates shall have 5% relaxation.

IISER Mohali Admission 2024: Admission Process

The counselling process for IISER Mohali will be conducted online. The procedure to apply for the same is as follows: 

• Candidates should have registered themselves online on the admission portal.
• Admission offers to any candidate will be given strictly based on the following factors:

               Seat availability in the current allocation round    

                IAT rank

                IISER preferences by the candidate, and

                The category of the candidate

• If a candidate receives an offer, he/she must accept it by paying Seat Acceptance Fee through online mode.
• After accepting the offer and paying SAF , the candidate can exercise two options:  

1.   Candidate can FREEZE the seat (they will not participate in further rounds of counselling) or  
2.   Candidate can FLOAT (they will participate in further rounds of counselling to get their higher preferences). 

IISER Mohali Admission 2024: Seat Matrix

The tentative total number of seats available for the BS-MS/BS programme is 1933, with each IISER having the following number of seats.  IISER Mohali has 250 seats allotted this year.

IISER Aptitude Test 2024: Application Fee

Interested candidates must apply through the portal, iiseradmission.in. Applications submitted through this portal will only be considered for admission. The Application Fee for candidates applying under the non-reserved category is INR 2000 while for reserved category the fee is INR 1000.

IISER Mohali: Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)

Once the students are offered a seat for their admission, the students are required to pay SAF as per their category.
