Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune: IIIT Pune was founded in 2016, under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, under the Public Private Partnership. It is one of the fastest growing IIITs among the 20 new IIITs founded to meet the growing demand of the Information Technology Industry. 

The Indian Institute of Information Technologies functions under the Ministry of Education, State Government and a private Industry partner.
