SVNIT Surat B.Tech. Admission 2024

SVNIT Surat admission to a four-year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, etc are entrance-based and will require a valid JEE Main scorecard through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), which are both administered by the Ministry of Education.

SVNIT Surat M.Tech. Admission 2024

SVNIT Surat M.Tech admission for non-sponsored candidates from the General, OBC, and Reserved SC/ST categories who have a valid GATE score are admitted to the M.Tech. program through the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech./M.Plan. (CCMT) process. If there are not enough GATE-qualified candidates in a particular discipline after CCMT spot admissions, the remaining seats will be offered to non-sponsored candidates. 

The eligibility requirements for non-sponsored candidates are the same as those for CCMT candidates, except for the GATE score requirement. The merit list for non-sponsored candidates will be prepared by giving 50% weightage to their B.E./B.Tech./equivalent degree aggregate marks and 50% weightage to the institute's test/interview. 

SVNIT Surat M.Tech admission for sponsored candidates is based on their merit list, which is prepared using their B.E./B.Tech. aggregate marks and institute test/interview performance. Only eligible students who have their final results at the time of the interview/test will be admitted.

Students are admitted to the M.Sc. programs in Physics, Chemistry, and other disciplines at SVNIT Surat through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), which are both administered by the Ministry of Education.

SVNIT Surat B.Tech. & MBA Admission 2024

SVNIT Surat B.Tech. & MBA admissions are not directly admitted through JoSAA/CSAB. Students admitted to any of the existing B.Tech. (UG) programs will study their first three years in the UG program. After the third year, they will be given the option to study for the next two years in the MBA program. B.Tech. third-year students with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher are eligible, and selection will be based on a written test/interview. Preferably, an equal number of students from each UG program will be selected for the next two years of MBA study. The number of students selected shall not exceed the intake strength. All other guidelines are similar to those for UG programs.

SVNIT Surat M.Tech.(Research) Admission 2024

To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech. degree in a relevant field with a minimum aggregate score of 55% or a CGPA of 6.0. Candidates must also have at least 5 years of work experience after graduation, except for institute research project staff who need only 1 year of experience. Selection is based on an oral presentation on the proposed area of research in front of a committee constituted by the Doctoral Admissions and Advisory Committee (DAAC). The chosen supervisor must either be a part of the interview committee or be an invitee member.

SVNIT Surat Ph.D. Admission 2024

SVNIT Surat  Ph.D. admission in different disciplines happens twice a year, in the spring semester (January) and the autumn semester (July). The interview schedule for applicants will be notified on the institute website in October/November and May/June each year. The department will publish the selection criteria and the list of eligible candidates on the institute‘s website. The selection committee for the Ph.D. admission process, including interviews, will consist of all eligible Ph.D. supervisors of the concerned department.
