UGC NET 2025 June Exam Notification Soon; Check eligibility for JRF, Assistant Professor

UGC NET June 2025: The National Testing Agency will release the exam notification for UGC NET exam June 2025 session soon. Once released, candidates will be able to download the exam notification by visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The application window for UGC NET exam is likely to be open along with the release of exam notification.

The UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor, as well as Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET application process is expected to begin in March 2025. The official registration dates will be announced soon. 

UGC NET June 2025 Notification

Based on the previous years’ trends, the exam notification and UGC NET application form are likely to be released in March 2025. The exam notification includes the UGC NET exam-related dates such as registration window, admit card, exam dates, answer key, and tentative result dates. 

The notification will also include details about UGC NET eligibility, exam pattern, marking scheme, syllabus, and other information.

UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants preparing to appear in the UGC NET exam are advised to check and fulfill all the eligibility requirements set by the National Testing Agency. Applications submitted by candidates who do not fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements will not be considered valid. Check the minimum UGC NET eligibility criteria below: 

  • Candidates from General/Unreserved/General EWS categories must have secured at least 55% in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university. 
  • Candidates from Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/PwD/Third gender category must have secured at least 50% marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination. 
  • Candidates who are pursuing their 8 Semester Bachelor’s Degree Programme and are in their final year may also apply for the UGC NET exam. However, such candidates will be offered admission on a provisional basis. Candidates shall be considered eligible for JRF/admission to Ph.D only after fulfilling the requirements by UGC regulations within two years from the date of UGC NET result announcement.
