JEE Mains exam day guidelines have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website. Candidates who are preparing for the JEE Mains 2025 session 2 examination must check and follow these guidelines/instructions in the examination centre. Candidates can check the exam instructions in their JEE Main admit card. The JEE Main examination is scheduled to be conducted from April 2, 2025 to April 9, 2025.
Only those candidates who successfully submitted their application form can download their admit card. Candidates must carry their admit card along with them to the examination center on all days of exam. If any candidate forgets to carry a print copy of admit card then he/she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Candidates must check the details mentioned in the JEE Mains admit card, as if any information is found incorrect in the hall ticket, then the candidate’s JEE Main exam will be cancelled by the authority.

JEE Mains 2025 – Instructions for Exams
The National Testing Agency releases some important instructions and guidelines on their website and candidates have to follow these instructions in the examination hall. Candidates can also check these instructions in their JEE Mains admit card:
- Candidates must report to the examination centre about 2 hours before the examination to avoid last minute issues.
- Candidates are advised not to carry any electronic gadgets, purse and other things in the examination centre.
- Candidates must check that the question appearing on the computer screen is as per their subject mentioned in the Admit Card. If the subject is other than his/her selected subject then the candidate immediately tells it to their exam invigilator.
- Candidates are requested to cooperate with the Test Centre Staff while verification and must bring their valid ID card along with their JEE Main hall ticket.
- After opening the examination hall gates, candidates immediately take their seats. If any candidate reports to the examination hall late, they are likely to miss some instruction announced in the examination room by the invigilator.
- Candidates must check that all the details provided by them during filling the application form are correct.
- If a candidate is not able to appear in the exam on a scheduled date, the authority will not conduct a retest.
- Candidates will have to carry a print copy of their admit card along with them to the centre, without admit card candidates will not be allowed to give the examination.
- Candidates can take help from the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator for any first aid emergency, technical assistance, or any other information during the examination.
- If a candidate appears in the exam on more than one shift/date through the wrong information, then his / her result will not be declared.
JEE Main Exam 2025 – Unfair Means Practices
The unfair means practice means that activity which allows aspirants to gain unfair advantage over other aspirants, it involves.
- Using someone (impersonation) or materials for copying an examination.
- Violating exam guidelines and instructions released by the NTA related to JEE Main exam.
- Keeping any banned items for unfair practices such as – communication devices, accessories, food items, jewelry, or any material or information.
- Trying to contact or communicate with anyone other than the examination invigilator.
- Forceful entry in /exit from the Examination Centre.
- Use of any electronic device after entering the examination hall.
- If any candidate found with more than one Application Number will be treated as UFM and strict actions will be taken by the authority against the candidate, even if found at a later stage.
- Threatening any official and any other candidate in the examination centre.
- Submitting wrong photographs/signatures on the Application Form/Admit Card.
- Looking here and there in the examination room.
- An offence punishable under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
- Creating problems in the smooth conduct of the exam.
JEE Main Exam 2025 – Punishments for Unfair Means Practices
If a candidate is found involved in any of the above practices before or after the JEE Main examination, then the candidate will be booked under the UNFAIR MEANS (U.F.M.) case by the authority. The aspirant will be punished for 3 years and shall be liable for criminal action.
The candidate’s JEE Main 2025 result will not be declared and cancelled by the authority, if any candidate is involved in Unfair means Practices. Similarly, if any candidate appears in the centre which is not allotted to them or uses another person to write their exam on behalf of him, then their result will also be cancelled.
Note – If any aspirant appears more than one session then the authority will cancel his/ her candidature. No request will be entertained in this regard.
