COAP 2024 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) has started the registration for COAP 2024 counselling process today, March 19, 2024. The registration link is now active on the official website. As per the official information, the registration form will be available till June 30, 2024.
The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is the online platform for centralised counselling based on GATE scores. Candidates can apply for admission into PG programs in engineering offered by the participating institutes as well as for jobs in the participating PSUs via the COAP platform.
COAP facilitates the process of seat allocation based on scores secured by the candidates in GATE exam and preferences of the candidate. A total of 24 institutes will participate in the COAP counselling process.
Candidates must note that COAP 2024 is not an application portal for admission to M.Tech. courses in any participating institutes. The candidate will be required to apply separately to the respective institutes for M.Tech. admission.

COAP 2024: How to register?
Candidates who have qualified in GATE 2024/2023/2022 and wish to apply for M.Tech.admission in any of the participating institutes / job offers in PSUs are eligible to register at COAP 2024. The detailed registration process is mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the COAP 2024 official website, iitk.ac.in/coap2024
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ option
Step 3: To register at COAP 2024, the following details will be required by the candidate
- Name of the candidate
- GATE Registration number(s)
- Valid GATE score(s)
- Date of birth
- Email ID
- Mobile number
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’.
Step 5: Candidates will receive login information via Email/SMS.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Login’ option available on the homepage and verify registration details.
Step 7: Enter additional GATE score (if any, in the last three years) and submit.
COAP 2024 Seat Allotment
A total of ten rounds of counselling will be conducted for seat allotment in COAP 2024 including 5 main rounds and 5 additional rounds. The COAP 2024 seat allotment dates are provided below.
