The Indian Institute of Technology Vadodara is situated in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It was established in 2013, by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, under Public Private Partnership (PPP) as an Institute of National Importance with the goal of advancing information technology knowledge, supplying the information technology industry with labour of international calibre, and taking care of certain other issues related to or incidental to such institutions. 

Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services, the Government of Gujarat, and the Government of India are the project's partners. The Gujarat government has supported the institute by donating an academic block at GEC, Gandhinagar, and 62.5 acres of land near Dumad, Vadodara. 

IIIT Vadodara's library has a vast collection of books, journals, and other materials pertaining to technical education. The goal of the library is to support students' informational and intellectual needs by giving them access to full-text printed and digital resources as well as information services. In order to facilitate study and education, the library is outfitted with contemporary technology including Wi-Fi, electronic materials, and online database access.

The IIIT Vadodara classrooms are roomy, tastefully decorated, and outfitted with the newest in audio-visual aids and technological advancements to facilitate dynamic, captivating learning. A variety of specialised labs are available at the Institute for various departments, including as the departments of computer science, electronics, and mathematics. 

The hostels are equipped with all the necessary facilities, including Wi-Fi, laundry, mess, and recreational facilities, such as a gym and sports facilities. The hostels are monitored round the clock by security personnel to ensure the safety of the students.

The university provides a large variety of specialisations in UG, PG, and PhD degrees. Across the engineering stream, courses like B Tech in Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering are available, while at the postgraduate level, M Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisations like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and PhD in Engineering. IIIT Vadodara Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Admission to different programs is based on the eligibility requirements and the merit list in the university’s entrance exam.
• Entrance exams such as, JEE Mains, GATE, UGC-NET.
• To be eligible for the entrance exam, an applicant must register online at the university's website. 
• After paying the required annual tuition, the candidate will be provisionally admitted to the program based on their merit and if they meet the eligibility requirements.

IIIT Vadodara Placement 2024

Consequently, the IIIT Vadodara Training and Placement Cell helps passing students through the campus placement process in order to collaborate with leading organisations and universities to provide internship and training programs. It interacts with several commercial organisations and industrial facilities that select graduate and postgraduate candidates from the available specialisations through campus interviews.  

As per the placement record of B Tech 2023-24, the highest package was INR 40 LPA, average package was INR 11.34 LPA, median package was INR 9 LPA and minimum package was INR 5 LPA. In M Tech, the highest package was INR 15 LPA, average package was INR 6.17 LPA and lowest package was INR 6 LPA.

In addition, the placement season spans the entire year, starting the first week of August and ending in April. News about job offers, interview dates, candidate selection, etc, is released by the Training & Placement Office.
