Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a legal university established by the government of Gujarat and was established by the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003. This University is recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University of Grant Commission (UGC 2f &12B) and accredited by NAAC A. 

The Gujarat National Law University is also a member of the Association of Indian universities (AIU), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), International Association of Law Institute (ASLI) and Shastri Indo - Canadian Institute. According to NIRF data, GNLU is ranked 7th in the Law University category.

Apart from this, the campus area of the university is spread over 50 acres with all basic facilities of library, labs, moot court for practicing, auditorium etc.

Gujarat National Law University Admission 2024 - Courses and Eligibility Criteria

The Gujarat National Law University offers various programmes apart from Law such as Management and Arts. The University has UG, PG, and Doctoral Programmes. The courses and their eligibility criteria is given below:

Gujarat National Law University Entrance Exam Eligibility 2024

Firstly, students have to fill the form of eligibility for appearing in the entrance examination. The university accepts entrance exams such as CLAT, UGC- NET,JRF,M Phil etc. Admission is then granted based on the results of the final selection procedure, which consists of a personal interview of the candidates.

• Candidates who wish to take admission in UG Programmes, need to pass 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 40% marks and for SC/ST 45% marks is required along with this they need to crack CLAT entrance examination
• For PG Programme, candidates need pass bachelor degree with at least 50% marks and for SC/ST 45% marks is required 
• For PhD Programmes candidates need to pass master’s degree with 55% marks and SC/ST/OBC 50% marks is required and the applicants who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF / SLET / M.Phil. are exempted from taking the admission test. 
• The University conducts Personal Interview after appearing in Entrance Examination.

The Gujarat National University conducts winter internship for the students. A professional staff member and a university faculty advisor will guide and supervise the student for their better performance. The student will have the opportunity to continuously interact with the staff in the setting  with the faculty in order to assess his or her abilities, Skills, and professional development in them.

During the time of internship students are required to do legal research and produce pleadings, briefs, opinions, and other legal papers by the host. The University conducts courses related to conferences, seminars and workshops for the students.
