NTA UGC NET Result 2024 – The National Testing Agency is set to release the results for the UGC NET exam on its official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the National Eligibility Test (NET) exam will be able to download their results once released. The result along with the scorecard can be downloaded by candidates from the official NTA UGC NET website. The UGC NET June result 2024 will likely be available in September 2024. However, there is no official confirmation from NTA.
UGC NET Result 2024 Expected Date
As of now, there is no expected date for the UGC NET result. Once the official confirmation is made by NTA, the same will be updated on this page. Hence, candidates must stay on this page for the latest UGC NET updates. The UGC NET exam concluded on September 4, 2024, the answer key of which was released sequentially shift-wise. The final UGC NET answer key will also be released along with the result.
The result release date for the UGC NET exam is yet to be announced by the National Testing Agency. Aspirants can expect the UGC NET NTA scorecard link to be activated likely in October 2024.

In the event of the percentiles for the multi-shifts being dissimilar / unequal, the lowest will be the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates (i.e. all shifts). The example can be checked by students in the image below:
The record of the UGC NET result 2024 will be preserved upto 90 days after the scorecard link is activated at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The National Testing Agency has developed a Query Redressal System for candidates who have registered for the UGC NET exam. A Unique Registration Number is generated for tracking the status of the queries/grievances. Candidates can mail their queries at ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
There shall be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the UGC NET June result 2024. No request in this regard shall be entertained by NTA.
The NTA score is presented as a percentile, determined after applying a normalization process.
As per the official notification, ”the number of candidates to be qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in NET (in both the papers) on the basis of their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination.”
The UGC NET results are anticipated to be released either this week or in the first week of October 2024. However, the NTA has not provided any official confirmation yet. Students are advised to regularly check this page for the latest updates.

The National Testing Agency will follow the score normalization process as the UGC NET exam was conducted across various shifts. The normalization formula will adjust the candidate’s scores according to the difficulty level of that respective shift.

Aspirants who appeared for the UGC NET exam in the Economics subject can expect the cut off to be around 160-170 for Assistant Professor and 180-190 for JRF. Last year, the UGC NET Economics Cut off was 154 for Assistant Professorship.
Last year, the UGC NET Cut off saw a steep decline for both the Assistant Professor and JRF category. The cutoff is expected to remain around the same this year too.
NTA will release the UGC NET final answer key along with the result. The official date is yet to be announced on the NTA website.
