NEET UG 2025: With only one month left in the NEET UG examination, medical aspirants are now in the final phase of their entrance preparation. The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the NEET UG exam on May 4, 2025 (Sunday). Candidates can expect their NEET UG admit card to be released by May 1, 2025.
Medical aspirants appearing in NEET UG exam 2025 are advised to now begin with their final revision, covering all the topics. The final month is also the right time to take as many mock tests as possible. Here is a week-wise final revision guide for NEET UG aspirants.
NEET UG Revision Week 1 – Clarify the basics
The first revision week for NEET UG should be used to go over the basic topics from all three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). Focus on understanding concepts and clearing any doubts you might have. Go through the NEET UG syllabus once again to ensure you have covered all the topics before. Check the daily preparation plan for week 1 below:
Day 1-2: Physics – Mechanics and Thermodynamics

- Revise Newton’s Laws, Work-Energy Theorem, and Kinematics. Try to solve practical questions to get a better understanding of the fundamental concepts.
- Go through laws of thermodynamics, heat engines, and thermometric properties.
Day 3-4: Chemistry – Physical and Organic Chemistry
- For Organic Chemistry, focus on reaction mechanisms, functional groups, and important reactions like electrophilic addition, elimination, etc.
- Do not pick up any new topics for revision. Instead, focus on strengthening the parts you have already covered.
- In Physical Chemistry, focus on topics including Mole Concept, Stoichiometry, Thermodynamics, and Gaseous State.
Day 5-6: Biology – Botany and Zoology
- Botany topics including Plant Physiology, Plant Reproduction, and Ecology are some of the most important parts of the syllabus. The best way to understand the basics is by going through the NCERT books.
- For Zoology, focus on Human Physiology, Genetics, and Evolution to understand the fundamental concepts.
Day 7: Mock Test and Review
Take a full-length NEET UG mock test. Analyse your mistakes and weaknesses to refine your strategy.
NEET UG Revision Week 2 – Pick up advanced topics
The second week in NEET UG preparation should be focused on going over the advanced and tricky topics while addressing any gaps in understanding from week 1. Check the daily study plan for week 2 below.
Day 8-9: Physics – Electrostatics, Magnetism, and Modern Physics
- Revise Electric Fields, Potential, Capacitance, and current electricity.
- For Magnetism, focus on laws, concepts, and problem-solving techniques. For better retention, try studying using flash cards.
- Modern Physics: Focus on Atomic structure, Nuclear Physics, and Radioactivity.
Day 10-11: Chemistry – Inorganic Chemistry and Coordination Compounds
- Focus on the periodic table, chemical bonding, and the properties of metals. The best way to understand the periodic table is by using mnemonic devices.
- Pick up other topics including Coordination Chemistry, Transition elements, and the d-block elements.
Day 12-13: Biology – Human Physiology, Reproduction, and Genetics
- For understanding Genetics, go through the topics including Mendel’s Laws, Genetic Disorders, and Molecular Biology.
- Revise the structure and function of the human circulatory, respiratory, and excretory systems.
Day 14: Take another mock test
Attempt another mock test under timed conditions. Review the weak areas and plan for the upcoming week.
NEET UG Revision Week 3: Practice and mock tests
Now that the core concepts are strong, your focus should shift toward strengthening problem-solving skills and taking more mock tests to simulate the real exam environment. Aspirants are also advised to go through high weightage topics for NEET UG 2025. Check NEET UG revision plan for week 3 below.
Day 15-16: Physics – Optics and Waves
- To understand the fundamentals of Optics, revise topics like Reflection, Refraction, and Interference in Optics. It is advisable to take help from reference books and online study material for a better understanding.
- While studying Waves in Physics, focus on Sound Waves, Doppler Effect, and Wave Optics.
Day 17-18: Chemistry- Surface Chemistry, P-Block Elements, and Organic Chemistry
- While studying Surface Chemistry, focus on colloids, adsorption, and catalysis.
- For P-Block elements, focus on trends and important compounds.
- Continue practicing Organic Chemistry reactions and mechanisms.
Day 19-20: Biology – Ecology, Biotechnology, and Biology in Human Welfare
- Revise Ecology concepts like ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental issues.
- Go through concepts in Biotechnology including genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology.
- Also, remember to go through topics including Diseases and Disorders in Human Welfare.
Day 21: Review and mock test
Take another NEET UG mock test and review all your mistakes. Focus on topics where you are still making errors.
NEET UG Revision Week 4: Final Revision
The final week should be focused on revision, practice, and taking regular breaks to avoid burnout. Check NEET UG week 4 revision plan below.
Day 22-23: Physics – Fluid Mechanics and Electrochemistry
- In the final week for Physics revision, pick up topics like Fluid Mechanics, Surface Tension, and Viscosity.
- Meanwhile, focus on Nernst equation, Electrochemical cells, and Conductance in Electrochemistry.
Day 24-25: Chemistry – Aromatic Compounds, Alkynes, and Polymers
- In the final week of studying Chemistry, go through topics including Aromatic Compounds, their properties, and reactions.
- Also revise Polymers and basics of General Organic Chemistry.
Day 26-27: Biology – Reproduction and Genetics
- While revising Human Reproduction, Plant Reproduction, and the Reproductive Health unit in Biology, focus on the molecular basis of inheritance, gene structure, and protein synthesis.
- Remember to just brush up the topics and do not go into an in-depth study in the final week.
Day 28: Full Revision
- Finally, do a quick revision of all three subjects, focusing on key formulas and definitions. For retaining the important formulas, use flash cards.
- Focus on subjects or chapters that are your weakest.
Day 29-30: Final Mock Test and Rest
With only a couple of days left before NEET UG exam, attempt one final mock test. Review your mistakes, but don’t stress over them too much. Be confident with your exam preparation. Get adequate rest and relax for the day before the exam. Do not take unnecessary pressure and try to eat as healthy as you can.
