JoSAA Seat Allotment 2024: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the opening and closing ranks for the JoSAA Counselling Round 1 today, June 20, 2024, in online mode. The opening and closing ranks have been released for NITs, IIITs, and IITs. Candidates registered for the JoSAA counselling process can check the category-wise opening and closing ranks by visiting the official website – josaa.nic.in.
The JoSAA seat allotment result for round 1 has also been released on June 20. Registered candidates can make the online fee payment, upload their documents and complete the online reporting process before June 25, 2024 (5 pm).

JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2024: What’s Next?
Aspirants who registered for JoSAA round 1 counselling 2024, and have uploaded the documents, paid the seat acceptance fee will have to complete the online reporting process which will be carried out by JoSAA virtual reporting centres within the given time period. They will have to verify their DOB, Category, PwD, KM and passing status for the online document verification.
As per the details provided on the official website, the following can happen based on the updation of the candidate’s parameters:
- Candidate will remain in this round and the seat remains allotted as the original allotment
- The candidate’s allotted seat will be cancelled in this round and will be moved to the next round and based on the updated eligibility and seat availability, he/she may be allotted a seat in the next round.
- The candidate will be out of the system completely for any further rounds
Note: Based on the details provided by the verifying user during document verification, if the allotted seat is being confirmed then the “Provisional Admission Letter” or “Seat Cancellation Letter” will be generated in candidate login.
