FMGE 2024: NBE releases important notice about medical screening test; Check details here

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has recently issued an important update concerning the FMGE exam for 2023. As per the information provided by NBEMS, there is a strong likelihood that the board will tentatively hold the FMGE exam in January 2024.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, New Delhi recently made a key announcement regarding the FMGE exam 2023. According to the information shared by the NBEMS, there is a high probability that the board to conduct the FMGE exam 2024 in the month of January tentatively. However, the board has yet to release a specific date regarding the exam. 

“The applicants who are desirous to appear in the next Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) are hereby informed that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the next FMGE tentatively in January 2024 on a Computer Based Platform at various tests centers across the country”, the official notification reads.

Generally, the FMGE exam is conducted in December every year. Hence, even this time it was expected that the board would conduct the exam in December. However, with the notice released, it is expected that the exam will be held in January 2024. 

Once the exam dates are released, the board will also release the dates for the FMGE application dates. Candidates wanting to appear for the exam are advised to read the eligibility criteria and then fill the application form. Candidates who successfully fill out the application form will then be eligible to get the admit card.

The FMGE 2024 exam is a screening tets for candidates who wish to practice medicine in India. The exam is conducted twice under the supervision of NBEMS and is accessible to both Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) aspiring to acquire a registration certificate from either the National Medical Commission (NMC) or their respective State Medical Council (SMC).
