The National Institute of Fashion Technology, popularly known as NIFT Delhi was established in the year 1986 under the Ministry of Textile, Government of India. NIFT has a total of 18 campuses spread across different states of India, offering undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in the field of design and technology. NIFT Delhi admission to UG and PG courses like B.Des, B. FTech, M.Des, M.F.M, and M.F.Tech  are based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the NIFT entrance examination. Admission to the PhD courses is done based on the scores of entrance exams like CEED/UGC NET followed by a personal interview round conducted by the institution. • Modern Classrooms: The NIFT Delhi campus classrooms are equipped with present times modern teaching equipment like smart boards, projectors, e-learning sources, etc.
• Library: The college has a library known as a resource centre with a collection of more than 15,000 books along with access to multiple academic-related titles, journals, publications, etc specific to various programmes offered by the institution.
• Accommodation Facilities: The institution incorporates a separate boys and girls hostel with a capacity of accommodating up to 200 students at a time. Access to basic amenities like mess facilities, recreational spaces, internet connectivity, etc are made available by the college.
• Laboratories: The NIFT Delhi campus comprises multiple labs in order to promote research-based practical learning.
