The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has announced the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) dates. The test is conducted separately for various levels (1, 2 & 3) and is scheduled for December, 2024. HTET 2024 is a state examination and a gateway for candidates who wish to pursue their career in teaching and education. Qualified candidates with the required teaching aptitude are recruited as teachers in schools affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education, Haryana. Haryana TET Exam Date 2024
The exam dates for HTET Level 1 (PRT), 2 (TGT) and 3 (PGT) have been announced. PRT exam is for aspirants who wish to teach students at the Elementary level (classes 1 to 5), HTET Level 2, TGT is for candidates who wish to teach students at the Secondary level (classes 6 to 8) and the 3rd Level (PGT) is for those who wish to teach at Senior Secondary level, that is, classes 9 to 12. HTET Eligibility 2024
The eligibility criteria for the various teaching levels differ for HTET. All applicants must be above 18 years and below 38 years of age at the time of applying. Candidates can check the level wise HTET Eligibility Criteria below.

Level 1 (PRT) | Candidates must have at least 50% in senior secondary and be in the final year or have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. or 45% in senior secondary with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education is acceptable. or 50% in senior secondary with completion or final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed. or 50% in senior secondary can also apply if they are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Special Education. Alternatively, graduates in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education are eligible. For language teachers, candidates need class 10 with Sanskrit or Hindi and a Graduation/Post Graduation with Hindi as a main subject. |
Level 2 (TGT) | The exam is for various subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science, Science & Physical Education. The educational qualification eligibility criteria for all subjects varies accordingly. Check bseh.org.in for more. |
Level 3 (PGT) | The PGT exam has various subjects including English, Hindi, Geography, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Punjabi, Urdu, and History. For eligibility, a consistent academic record and fulfilling the minimum requirements is essential. Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks. B.Ed. degree from a recognized university is required. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit in class 10 or have Hindi in Sr. Secondary/Graduation/Post Graduation. |
