CSIR NET 2024 Exam Guidelines: The National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the CSIR NET exam for the July session from July 25 to July 27, 2024. Candidates appearing for the examination are required to follow the set of exam day instructions and guidelines given by the NTA. Failing to do so can result in disqualification of the candidate from the examination.

Items to Carry to CSIR NET Exam Venue
Candidates appearing for CSIR NET exam 2024 are required to bring the list of following documents with them on the day of examination.
- Printed copy of their CSIR NET admit card downloaded from the NTA website
- One passport size photograph (should be same as the one uploaded on the online application form)
- Original government issued photo ID such as School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhar Enrolment No/ Ration Card
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)
- If candidate’s name has been changed due to marriage or related events, they are required to carry the supporting documents such as marriage certificate, divorce decree, legal name change document

As per the CSIR NET 2024 information bulletin for the July exam, candidates are not allowed to carry the following list of items.
CSIR NET Exam 2024: Important instructions for candidates
CSIR NET candidates are advised to follow the instructions given below on the day of examination:
- Read the instructions mentioned in the CSIR NET hall tickets very carefully.
- Carry the list of required documents mentioned in the information bulletin.
- Do not carry any item from the list of prohibited items in the CSIR NET bulletin.
- Do not carry any kind of baggage to the examination venue as the authorities will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
- Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre on or before the reporting time. Entry to the exam hall will be closed 30 minutes before the exam begins. Late entry to the venue will not be entertained.
- Biometric information for all the candidates will be recorded before the exam begins.
- Candidates are required to be seated only on their allotted seats. If any candidate is found in a seat or room other than the one allotted to them, it will be considered as a case of unfair means and the candidate will be disqualified.
- Candidates are required to ensure that the question paper given to them is for their chosen subject. In case they receive a different question paper, they should report it to the exam conducting staff immediately.
- All candidates are required to do all the rough work only on the rough sheet provided to them at the centre.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall or their seat without the special permission of the exam invigilator.
- Only the registered candidates are allowed to enter the examination venue. No other person (friends, family, relatives) are allowed to enter the venue with the candidate.
