UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday announced the Civil Services exam preliminary exam results online. Candidates who appeared for the IAS prelims exam 2024 can check their results from its official website – upsc.gov.in.
Candidates must note that the candidature of the qualified candidates is provisional and they are required to apply again in the Detailed Application Form – I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services Main exam 2024. As per the official notice, the UPSC Mains 2024 will be conducted from September 20, 2024 onwards. The details for the filling up of the UPSC DAF-I and its submission will be released in due course on the official website of the Commission.

Candidates can follow the instructions mentioned below to know how to submit online Detailed Application Form 2024.
Step 1: Go to the official website – upsc.gov.in
Step 2: Create a registration account by clicking on the link that reads “login” on the homepage
Step 3: On the registration page, fill out all the details as asked including name, roll number, date of birth, and email ID (Note: Candidates must note that all the fields are compulsory)
Step 4: After, clicking on the submit button, candidates will get a message on their screen mentioning the name and email that they have been registered and a password will be sent to their candidate’s email address
Step 5: After this, go back to the UPSC’s website and log in using six-digit roll number along with the password
Step 6: The online DAF-I form has six modules i.e., Personal, Educational information, Parental information, Employment information, Upload documents and final submission
Step 7: UPSC aspirants need to fill out all six modules completely before submitting the form online

Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of the below-given documents at the time of the UPSC Detailed Application Form – I submission.

Details that cannot be changed while filling out the UPSC CSE DAF – I form 2024
Candidates must note that some of the fields that are given below cannot be changed by the candidate as this information has been prepopulated using the information provided by the candidate at the time of UPSC CSE Prelims registration.

- Date of Birth
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Email address
- Physically Challenged category
- Disability percentage
“If a candidate notes any error/discrepancy in these fields, he may make a separate detailed representation to the Commission including all relevant documents, in support of his claim. The Commission will decide each such case on merit and its decision in such cases shall be final,” the official notice reads.
