The admit card will have the GATE exam day guidelines which candidates must read before taking the exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The GATE exam is conducted with utmost precautions by the institute. The rules laid down by the conducted body are supposed to be followed by exam centre authorities and all students. - Be aware of the GATE exam centre and its route so that you do not get confused on the exam day
- Reach the examination centre at least 60-75 minutes before the scheduled time
- Dress in simple and comfortable clothes
- Listen carefully to invigilators’ instructions and follow them during the exam.
- Don’t panic during the exam; manage stress with calmness
- Have a water bottle and keep it along with you
GATE Exam 2025 – Don’ts
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and other gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Do not carry your own rough papers. It will be provided in the exam hall and the same has to be returned after the exam is conducted.
- Late arrival is strictly prohibited. Candidates will not be allowed to take the examination if they breach the exam timings.
- Any form of cheating or misconduct is non-negotiable. Strict action will be taken.
