AILET 2024 registration closes today; Here’s what you need to do next

AILET 2024 Registration Last Date: The All India Law Entrance Test or AILET 2024 registration is set to come to an end today (November 15, 2023). Candidates who are yet to apply for the exam are advised to visit the official website – nationallawuniversitydelhi.in to register for the Law exam. Earlier, the deadline to register for the exam was kept as November 13, 2023. However, the deadline was extended to November 15 by the National Law University (NLU) Delhi.

Meanwhile, the AILET 2024 is slated to take place on take place on December 10, 2023. Since the exam registration has been completed, and the exam dates have also been released, candidates should know what will come next. Now, it is expected that the exam conducting body will soon release the AILET admit card 2024. The hall tickets will be released on the official website.

The AILET exam 2024 is held for those candidates who want to take admission to BA-LLB(Hons), LLM, and PhD programmes of NLU Delhi can appear for the law entrance exam.

AILET Eligibility for BA-LLB

Candidates who wish to take admission in BA-LLB should have qualified the Class 12 with at least 45 per cent 40 for SC, ST, and PwD) marks. On the other hand, foreign nationals/OCI/PIO are not allowed to appear for the exam.

In addition, there are seat reservations for Kashmiri Migrants as well as residents of Jammu & Kashmir. While one seat is reserved for Kashmiri Migrants, residents of Jammu & Kashmir have two seats as per the reservation.

AILET Eligibility for LLM, LLB,

Meanwhile, for LLM, LLB, or an equivalent law degree with a minimum of 50 percent (45 percent for SC, ST, PwD) is a prerequisite. Candidates who are appearing in their final year LLB exam are also eligible to appear for the exam.

This course comprises 80 seats, with 70 reserved for AILET candidates and 5 each designated for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct merit-based admission. Foreign nationals are not required to take the entrance test. One additional supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrants is also given under reservation criteria.
