CDS Result 2024: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be announcing the results for Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2024 soon. The CDS written exam was held on April 21, 2024. The result for the same is expected in the first week of May 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their result on the official website of the UPSC – upsc.gov.in.
The CDS examination is conducted by UPSC for selecting candidates for admission to different courses offered by IMA Dehradun, INA Ezhimala, AFA Hyderabad and OTA Chennai. This exam is conducted twice a year, in April and September. The exam consists of a written exam and the SSB interview. UPSC releases the cutoff list for CDS but only after the recruitment process is over.
Candidates clearing the CDS written exam are allowed to appear for the SSB interview and those who clear both written as well as interview are included in the final merit list. The cutoff list for the CDS exam is released after the release of the final merit list.
CDS Result 2024: Steps to check result
UPSC conducts CDS Examination twice a year. The April session is called CDS 1 and the September Session is CDS 2 Exam. The CDS 1 2024 written exam was held on April 21, 2024. The result for this exam is expected in the first week of May 2024 . Candidates can check the CDS 2024 Result by the following the steps given below:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the UPSC – UPSC.gov.in
Step 2: Look for the What’s New section on the homepage of the UPSC website.
Step 3: Click on the link for Written Result: Combined Defence Service Examination (I) 2024
Step 4: You will be redirected to the result link. Click on the result document link.
Step 5: Candidates who appeared for the exam can search their name and the roll number in the result pdf.
Step 6: Download the document for future use.
CDS Result 2024: Cut off List
UPSC releases the result of the CDS written exam in a pdf document which contains only the roll number and names of the selected candidates. The cutoff list for written exams is released only after the completion of the recruitment process. Candidates clearing the written exam can appear for the SSB interview.
When the SSB interviews end with the medical exam, the commission releases an overall cutoff list along with the written cutoff list. In the CDS exam, the cutoff list for each academy is released separately. Candidates can check the cutoff on the official website of the UPSC.
CDS Previous Year Cut off
Candidates can check the previous year CDS cut off on the official website of UPSC. The commission has yet not released the cutoff for CDS (2) 2023. The cutoff for the last three exams CDS (1) 2023, CDS (2) 2022 and CDS (1) 2022 are listed below.

Candidates can expect the CDS Cut off for this year in accordance with the previous year cut off for all academies. The Cut off for AFA Hyderabad has always been the highest. For more information, candidates can visit upsc.gov.in.
