This article presents insights and guidance from the top subject experts at Global Indian International School, Noida, tailored specifically for Class 12 students pursuing the science stream.

Students in Class 12, Science stream, should be aware that subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology require thorough preparation. We asked essential questions regarding important topics and weightage for these subjects.

12th CBSE Chemistry Important Questions

When inquiring about the chapters with the highest weightage in Chemistry, Avinash Kumar Singh, PGT Chemistry teacher mentioned that Chemistry covers a wide range of topics. He added, “Aldehyde ketone and carbolic acid, and Electrochemistry have the maximum weightage.” Kumar also provided information about the marks allocated to each topic in Chemistry, including the most important ones.

In Chemistry, the topics with the highest weightage are as follows:

12th CBSE Physics Important Questions

Moving on to Physics, Saurabh Shukla, a PGT Physics teacher discussed the chapters with maximum weightage in the subject, taking into account the previous year’s question papers. Shukla noted that the chapters with the highest weightage in the previous year included Electrostatics & Current Electricity, Optics, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, and Semiconductor & Electronics.

Shukla not only highlighted the previous year’s highest weightage but also informed students about this year’s chapters with the maximum weightage in Physics. According to him, the chapters with the most weightage this year are Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Waves, and Optics.

The marks allocated to each chapter are detailed below:

Chapter NameMarks
Electrostatics, Current Electricity 16 Marks
Electromagnetic Waves, Optics18 Marks
