UGC NET Result December 2023 release date postponed; NTA issued notice, check important details here

UGC NET Result 2023: The National Test Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the release date of the result for UGC NET exam. As per the latest notification issued by NTA, the UGC NET result 2023 will be declared on January 17, 2024. Candidates can check and download their scorecard on the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in when the results are released.

The delay in announcing the results was initiated due to the rescheduled examination for candidates unable to attend the exam on the original dates due to unforeseen circumstances such as flooding caused by Cyclone Michaung.

The notification says, “NTA announced in the Information Bulletin that the result of UGC – NET December 2023 will be declared on 10th January 2024 but due to Natural Calamity (Michaung) in Chennai and Andra Pradesh, Re – Exam was conducted in the interest of candidates. Therefore, the Final Result of the aforementioned examination will be declared on 17th January 2024 on the website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.”

The UGC NET is conducted twice a year to test the eligibility for a Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. The exam was conducted from December 6, 2023 to December 14, 2023. Candidates can download their UGC NET Result 2023 scorecard by visiting the official website. Here are the steps to download the scorecard: 

1. Visit the official UGC-NET website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in
2. Click on the UGC NET Result December 2023 link.
3. Log in with your credentials such as Application number, date of birth and security pin.
4. Check the result and click on the download scorecard option.
