Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will be conducting the GATE Exam 2025 on February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025. GATE Registration 2025 has begun today and eligible candidates can register themselves at gate2025.iitr.ac.in through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). GATE 2025 is a national-level exam conducted for admission to postgraduate and direct doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, etc.

According to the official notice released on gate2025.iitr.ac.in by IIT Roorkee, candidates can register for the GATE Exam 2025 from August 28, 2024. The application process will come to a halt on October 7, 2024.

GATE Registration 2025: Steps to apply
Candidates appearing for the GATE Exam 2025 must register themselves when the GATE Online Application Processing System opens by following these steps:
- Visit gate2025iitr.ac.in.
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ in the Applications section.
- Enter the necessary details such as name, category, date of birth, parents’ name, contact details, etc.
- Upload all the documents required including the candidate’s photograph with the dimensions of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm in JPEG/JPG format.
- Remember to review the form thoroughly before submitting then click ‘Submit’ and pay the application fee on the next page.

GATE Exam 2025: Registration Fee
After filling the GATE Application Form 2025, candidates have to pay the application fee to complete the registration. The application fee varies depending upon the category a candidate falls in. Check below for more information.

GATE Application Form 2025: Correction
GOAPS allows candidates to edit their GATE 2025 Registration Form. To do so, visit gate2025iitr.ac.in, log in to GOAPS, and make the necessary changes. Aspirants are required to pay a fee for making any changes in the GATE Application Form 2025 except for when they need to modify their choice of examination city. Below are the changes for which candidates need to pay the additional fee:
- Change in Subject: Rs. 500
- Additional Subject: Rs. 500
- Change of gender to female: Rs. 500
- Change of gender from female to any other gender: Rs. 1350
- Change of category to SC/ST: Rs. 500
- Change of category from SC/ST to any other: Rs. 1350
- Change from Non-Pwd to PwD: Rs. 500
- Change from PwD to Non-PwD: Rs. 1350
- Other changes: Rs. 500
