CUET 2024 Preparation Tips: The National Testing Agency has scheduled the Common University Entrance Test 2024 from May 15, 2024. The agency has recently released the admit card for the test. Candidates appearing for the entrance exam should note some last minute tips for scoring well in the examination.
CUET is a national level entrance exam for admissions to various undergraduate programmes in central universities and other higher education institutions. In this exam, candidates can apply for a maximum of six subjects including the compulsory general test and at least one language.
CUET UG 2024 Preparation Tips
CUET UG exam preparation is a long term, continuous process. It requires thorough knowledge of the domain subjects. However, the General Test is for testing a candidate’s quantitative and logical reasoning skills along with some basic general knowledge. Some of the last minute tips for scoring better are listed below.
- Last few days before the exam should be utilized only for revision. Students should not try any new topic and focus on revising the topics already learned.
- Every student has some areas of expertise, that is, some subjects/ topics are easier for them while some are not. They should focus on their strength in these last hours and not waste time on the less prepared topics.
- Candidates should practice previous year questions as these questions help them understand the pattern in which the exam is set.
- Previous year question papers also help in time management during exams as candidates have to attempt many questions in a limited time period.
- Students should take at least 7 hours of sleep and have healthy food. Ample amount of water is also must during this time.
CUET UG Exam Pattern 2024
The CUET exam pattern has 3 sections containing language, domain specific and one compulsory general test. Candidates have to select a maximum of six subjects in either of the following manner:
- 1 Languages, 4 Domain Specific Subjects, 1 General Test
- 2 Languages, 3 Domain-Specific Subjects, 1 General Test
Candidates have to attempt 50 out of 60 questions in the General Test and 40 out of 50 questions in all other papers. Each question carries 5 marks for every correct answer and 1 negative mark for each wrong answer.
