CBSE Economics Paper 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the Class 12th Economics exam today, March 18, 2024 in offline mode. As per the initial reactions of the students, the paper was easy to moderate. The paper was not at all lengthy and a majority of students were able to complete the paper in time as most of the questions were direct. The students’ reactions also indicated that the paper was scoring and well balanced. 

The students informed that the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) were especially easy and students were able to solve them during the reading time. There were no numerical in 6 marker questions. Students also reported that solving CBSE sample paper helped them.

As per Mr. Nitesh Mehra, Director, Edumission E-Learning Platform, the CBSE Class 12 economics paper was easy. ‘Over 2-3 questions directly came from sample papers’, he added. ‘Section B was easier than Section A, especially the Sustainable Development case study was easy for students to attempt. The only questions that the students found complex were revenue receipts and capital receipts questions as well as tax revenue and non-tax revenue questions, although they were in choice. Overall, the Economics paper was easy and manageable,’ he further said in his exam analysis.

The experts also stated that one of the questions related to Consumption- Income where students had to find the area under the graph was reportedly wrong. For next year, students are advised to focus on MCQs especially statement based and assertion reason questions.

CBSE Class 12 Economics Paper Analysis 2024: Students’ Reaction

As per the initial responses of the students, the Economics exam was easy to moderate in difficulty level. A majority of the students were able to complete the paper in time. There were no numerical in 6 marker questions. The question regarding measures to control money supply which was expected by the students was asked in the exam.

The students reported that the least expected questions were from Indian Economy on the eve of Independence and the infrastructure question from rural development. Overall, long questions were relatively easier as compared to last year’s exam.

CBSE 12th Result Date 2024

The Central Board of Secondary Education will declare the CBSE Class 12th result 2024 on the official website – cbse.gov.in. Once released, students will be able to download their marksheet by visiting the official website and logging into the students’ portal. Based on past years’ trends, CBSE Class 12th results are expected to be released in May 2024.
