UPSC NDA & NA
The UPSC NDA & NA exam is conducted to recruit officers in the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy. The exam is conducted twice a year (UPSC NDA 1 and UPSC NDA 2). Since the exam is held twice in a year, applications open in December and May. Check more details below.

UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Services)
UPSC CDS exam is conducted twice a year to recruit officers in Combined Defense services. The application forms are released in May and December.
Exam Date – The UPSC CDS 2 exam will be conducted on September 1, 2024.

UPSC CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces)
UPSC CAPF exam is conducted once a year to recruit officers in armed police forces such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Applications are generally released in April.
Exam Date – The exam has already been conducted for this year on August 4, 2024

AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)
Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted twice a year to recruit officers in both Ground Duty and Flying branches in both technical and non-technical roles. The applications are released in May and December.
Exam Date – Tentatively, the exam (AFCAT 1) will be held in February 2025.

Indian Air Force (IAF) Group X & Y
Airforce Group X & Y exam is conducted to recruit officers in the Indian Air Force. The exam is conducted twice a year. The application for IAF Group X & Y will tentatively be released in December 2024.
Exam Date – The exam is expected to be conducted in February 2025 (tentative date). Official dates are still awaited.

Indian Coast Guard (ICG)
Indian Coast Guard exam is conducted to recruit officers in the Indian Coast Guard as Navik, Yantrik, or Assistant Commandant. The applications are released in June.
Exam Date – The exam is expected to be conducted in September 2024. The official date for the exam is yet to be confirmed.
