UPSC Registration 2024: The Union Public Service Commission will release the official notification for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) on February 14, 2024 at the official website, upsc.gov.in. With the release of the official notification, the registration process for UPSC CSE 2024 Exam will also commence.
Eligible candidates can fill the application form for the IAS exam at the official UPSC website.The last date to submit applications for the UPSC exam 2024 is March 5, 2024.
As per the official UPSC Exam Schedule 2024, the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination (UPSC Prelims) will be conducted on May 26, 2024. The candidates who qualify the Civil Services Preliminary examination will appear for UPSC CSE Main 2024 examination which is scheduled to be conducted from September 20, 2024 onwards.

UPSC Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for UPSC Exam 2024, the candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
UPSC CSE Eligibility 2024: Nationality
For IAS (Indian Administrative Service), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), a candidate must be a citizen of India.
For other exams, candidates are required to fulfil the following eligibility criteria.
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: Candidates belonging to b,c,d, and e categories must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in order to appear for the UPSC CSE Exam 2024.
UPSC CSE Eligibility 2024: Age Limit
The minimum age limit to apply for the UPSC Exam 2024 is 21 years while the maximum age limit is 32 years. Age relaxations are provided for reserved category candidates.

UPSC CSE Eligibility 2024: Educational Qualification
A candidate must have a Graduate degree or equivalent qualification from a government recognised university in order to appear for the UPSC 2024 examination. Candidates in their final year or awaiting results can also appear for the UPSC preliminary examination provided that such applicants submit proof of passing the specified examination along with their application for the IAS mains paper.
UPSC CSE Eligibility 2024: Number of attempts

Eligible candidates can apply for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 by following the steps provided below:
- Visit the website, upsconline.nic.in.
- Register yourself at One time Registration Platform (OTR)
- Once registered, click on the Apply Online link
- Candidates are required to fill the registration form in two sections.
