REET Preparation 2023:  REET or popularly referred to as Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is the exam conducted for those candidates who wish to teach students at the primary and upper primary levels. The teacher eligibility test is considered one of the most sought-after entrance exams. Hence, candidates are required to have a thorough preparation for the examination. While there is no ideal time to prepare for the examination, candidates are advised to start their preparation as early as possible. 

The exam is conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education in two levels. While level 1 is for those candidates who want to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5, level 2 is for those aspirants who want to teach students of classes 6 to 8. REET exam preparation is an important aspect for candidates who are intending to appear for the REET Exam 2023.  Without solid preparation, candidates might find it hard to crack the exam. The first step towards the REET preparation for the candidate is to have the right REET syllabus knowledge and an idea about the REET exam pattern and marking scheme.

Candidates should start their preparation for the examination as early as possible because the REET syllabus for level 1, as well as level 2, is very lengthy in nature. Once the candidate prepares every topic deeply, they will be in a position to answer any question.  Though there is no right time for a candidate to begin with the REET preparation, aspirants can always start preparing a small portion of the exam from an early stage. 

How to start REET Preparation

The first step for a candidate to begin with their REET preparation is to go through the REET syllabus. Since the teacher eligibility test is divided into two parts, - Level 1 and Level 2, the syllabus for both levels is different. Level 1 of the REET exam consists of 5 subjects including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, whereas the Level 2 syllabus has 4 subjects including  Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. 

Once the candidate has studied the syllabus, then they should move to the REET exam pattern. As per the exam pattern for the eligibility test, the duration of the exam is 2.5 hours, and the exam has a total of 150 questions. The mode of the examination is offline, which means candidates have to go to the exam centre and appear for the pen and paper-based exam.  The questions will be in MCQ format, and the difficulty level for both exams is of class 12.  The exam consists of negative markings. While 1 mark will be given for the right answer, -1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Candidates are first required to check the REET syllabus and exam pattern even before they begin their preparation. As this is one of the ideal steps candidates should follow.
