IIT Kanpur PhD (Science) is the doctoral program offered by various science departments of the institute. The qualifying degree for the PhD course is masters degree in relevant subject with marks not below the specified minimum. The institute also conducts a written test and interview for the shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility

Students must have a masters degree in the relevant subject
They can also have a BTech/B.S. degree with marks not below the specified minimum
Candidates should also have a valid score in GATE/JRF/JEST/INSPIRE fellowship
The GATE/JRF/JEST requirement is waived off in case the MSc is from IITs or IISERs
Final admission will be offered based on the interview.

Fees

The tuition fee for the M.Tech program at IIT Kanpur is INR 2500 per semester.
Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from the tuition fee.
