Candidates who are willing to apply for IIT Kanpur M.Tech admissions should have a B.E./B.Tech or MSc degree with specified marks. Additionally, they should have scored valid marks in the GATE. Candidates need to register themselves to the COAP portal for the counselling.

Candidates who have completed their BTech from IITs with 8.0 or more CGPA do not need to appear for the GATE examination.
