The University Grant Commission (UGC) has released the answer key for the UGC NET 2024 exam on January 03, 2024. Candidates are advised to go to the official website and check their score.

After qualifying the UGC NET exam, students are confused about how to become an Assistant Professor, as seeking a position as an Assistant Professor remains highly desirable, as evidenced by around 600,000 candidates who took the UGC NET 2023 December exam this year.

– Master’s degree with 55% marks from a recognised University – Candidates should also clear a national level exam score card (NET/SLET/SET)

UGC guidelines for appointment of an Assistant Professor

– Candidates who are pursuing or have been awarded a doctoral degree are exempted from appearing in NET/SLET/SET exam. – A relaxation of 5% of marks is given to SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Criteria for shortlisting candidates

M.Phil/M.Tech/LLM/M.Ed or equivalent:
