The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their postgraduate management programs (MBA and PGDM).
The CAT exam is a computer-based test conducted in three sessions on a single day in November or December.

The CAT exam consists of 3 sections: VARC, DILR & QA. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes (40 mins for each section). The total marks of the CAT exam is 198.

The CAT exam will consist of two types of questions: MCQs & TITA (type in the answer) questions. Each question will carry 3 marks. For each incorrect answer (MCQ type), 1 mark will be deducted.
