Zainab Bilal, an impaired girl student from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir has written history by securing an impressive 95% in her CBSE Class 10 Board Examination 2025-26.

The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) declared the Class X Result 2026 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. As per the official data released by the board authorities, the pass percentage of 10th Class for the academic session has been reported to be at 93.70%.

Zainab, a 16-year-old student of the Learning Resource Centre of Delhi Public School, Srinagar, has become one of India's first visually impaired students to appear in the CBSE examination without the assistance of a scribe. She attempted the exam using a laptop.

She scored 475 marks out of the total 500 marks. In addition to this, she also secured a perfect 100 per cent mark in the Computer Science subject.

With a keen interest in studying computer applications, Zainab aspires to pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Applications with the intention of getting into the information technology sector.

She thanked her teachers and Vijay Dhar, owner of the school, for their constant efforts and guidance throughout her journey. Along with that, she also mentioned her parents as the biggest support system in her life.

Zainab has always been equally good in extracurricular activities as well. At the age of 12, she interviewed Omar Abdullah, the current Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and revered Bollywood actor Amir Khan. Both the interviews were aired on a student- operated Radio DPS.

"If I can do it, anyone can. They just need your support," said Zainab as a message to all the parents of specially abled children. She urged them not to give up on their children and keep trusting them in their journey.
