Re-NEET UG 2026: States Offer Free Travel & Heat Relief to Support Students

Several states have stepped up to provide free travel, cooling zones, accommodations and other supportive measures to help students appearing for the RE-NEET UG 2026 exam.

State Governments have  stepped up to coordinate with district administrations and transport departments in order to facilitate a smooth conduct of the examination.

From free bus rides and railway services  to free cooling zones and temporary accommodations, authorities across the country are trying to ensure that students face minimal disruption as they appear for RE-NEET UG 2026.

Punjab was among the first states to announce free travel for NEET students, followed by other states. The support was introduced after students raised concerns regarding travel expenses, especially for those from economically weaker backgrounds.

FREE TRAVEL ACROSS MULTIPLE STATES

Amid the intense heat wave, the Delhi government has announced special “cooling zones” near NEET examination centres. facilities will include seating arrangements for students and accompanying guardians, along with drinking water, lemonade  and other essential amenities.

Authorities have significantly strengthened security arrangements for the re-examination. From question papers being airlifted to Telegram being temporarily banned.
