According to the Secretary of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, police received information according to which three persons went to a hotel in the Kongaon area of Bhiwandi to sell the Maha TET exam 2026 question paper.

After conducting a raid in the Bhiwandi area, police officials found the accused possessing the pages from a packet of the sealed TET 2026 question paper.

Police officials reported that the accused aimed to earn Rs 1.5 crore by selling the paper to the buyers who were to receive the question papers.

Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Dudhe told the media that they matched the papers that were to be used on Sunday during the exams with those found with the accused. After receiving a confirmation from the Education Department, Police arrested all three of them
