The National Testing Agency has started the registration process for JEE Main Session 2.  Candidates who have already appeared for the first session might be contemplating whether they should take the JEE Main exam again in Session 2. Here's what you need to know to make this decision.

The expected cut off for this year reflects that even candidates with a percentile above 99 may fail to  get admissions in the CSE (or other preferred branches) of top NITs.

The expected score vs percentile analysis is given below: Score                   Percentile 300-281               100-99.999        280-271                99.997-99.994        270-263                99.994-99.990        262-250                99.988-99.977        250-241                99.975-99.960

By appearing in session 2, the candidates can rectify the mistakes and errors made in the previous session which could translate into a better percentile score.

The second session would also give candidates ample time to prepare and revise what they have already studied during the preparation of Session 1.

An added advantage for candidates while appearing for JEE Main Session 2 will be the familiarity with the exam pattern.

Owing to their first attempt, candidates would be familiar with the type of questions asked which could also help in enhancing their scores.

The second session of JEE Main examination will be held between April 4 to 15. Interested candidates can register themselves on the official JEE Main website. The applications are open until March 2, 2024.
