October 10 is celebrated as the World Mental Health Day - a day for the awareness and advocacy of mental health. Take a look at the initiatives by IITs for students’ mental health

IIT Bombay IIT Bombay has partnered with external counsellors to provide counselling to students. The institute plans to cover the costs of the services providing greater accessibility of support by trained specialists

IIT Madras IIT Madras had announced a series of wellness sessions for students to tackle stress and other mental health problems. Experts talk about the options available to students. The institute provides counselling services to students in times of distress

IIT Delhi IIT Delhi had brought a major change in the evaluation system by skipping the mid-semester exams and reducing pressure on students. Additionally, the institute has also expanded their counselling setup for students

IIT Guwahati IIT Guwahati has established a Center for Holistic Wellbeing. The institute provides mandatory counselling to all newly admitted students. In addition, counsellors get in touch with students with low grades to understand their state of mind
