IIT, IIM Graduates Not Eligible For This Internship

The Finance Minister announced the Prime Minister Internship Scheme for 1 crore youth in the Union Budget 2024-25

The government is set to launch the centralised portal for the internship program today, October 3, 2024

India’s top 500 companies will be uploading the available internship positions to the portal

Following this, the portal will be active for candidates to apply

The eligibility criteria for these internships entails that the applicants must be between the ages of 21 to 24 years

The criteria also mentions that graduates from IIT, IIM, IISER or candidates who have CA, CMA cannot apply for this program

Additionally, the eligibility requirements state that the immediate family members should not be taxpayers or government employees

The scheme aims to recruit candidates without any bias. The initial selection of candidates will be done by a backend bot

 A stipend of Rs 5000 will be provided to the selected candidates. Companies have the option to pay more than Rs 5000 under this scheme
