The CSE course by IIT Patna is the most preferred as every year. The course witnessed a registration of 17,579 choices. The prominent increase can be seen if compared to the 15,482 registration back in 2024.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
IIT Patna AI ML Course experienced a sharp 14.67 per cent growth as the number of registrations rose from 13,175 in 2024 to 15,108 choices in 2025.

ECE was also opted by many students for their Undergradation degree. The course gained a growth of 13.24 per cent as the numbers increased from 13,055 in 2024 to 14,784 in 2025.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
The EEE course by IIT Patna received 12,850 registration in 2025. The course achieved a growth of 12.71 per cent as the numbers increased to 12,850 this year from 11,400 in the previous year.

In 2025, Integrated and interdisciplinary programmes attracted a good amount of students as the number of registrations could be seen rising to 8,891 choices with a growth percentage of 11.04 per cent as compared to the last year.

BTech (CSE) and MTech in CSE programme
This B.Tech-MBA integrated course witnessed the highest growth of 15.14 per cent as many students are preferring such integrated courses these days to skip the hassle of appearing for two competitive exams. This course is offered in collaboration with the revered IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Mumbai.

BTech Chemical Engineering – MBA in Hospital and Health Care Management
This engineering course with an integrated management degree also received an 14 per cent growth.

This undergraduate degree options got around 4,364 registrations , raising the growth percentage to 9.7 in 2025.

BS in Economics with MBA programme
These were the highly preferred courses offered by IIT Patna for aspiring engineering students. With the statistics of 2025, it is clear that computer science and AI-driven programmes remained the top preference of students while the interest for integrated engineering–management courses also witnessed a sharp rise.
