CBSE has released an official notice reminding students and parents that 75% attendance is mandatory to be eligible for board exams

On October 10, CBSE issued the notification at the official website - cbse.gov.in stating that strict compliance with attendance requirements is compulsory for students appearing in 10th and 12th board exams

The Board mentioned that the regular attendance of students is crucial for their ‘holistic development’

Attending school regularly facilitates character building, teamwork, collaboration, inclusion and other factors as per the notice addressed to CBSE affiliated schools

The Board has provided 25% relaxation for exigencies such as medical emergencies, participation in national/international events, etc

CBSE has instructed school heads to monitor the attendance of students regularly. Proper documentation must be provided by students in case of absence
