In a fresh circular issued on March 5, 2026, the CBSE has announced significant changes for Class 10th and 12th students across several Middle Eastern countries.

The decision applies to all CBSE-affiliated schools located in Bahrain & Iran, Kuwait & Oman, Qatar & Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

All remaining Class 10th examinations scheduled between March 7 and March 11, 2026, have been officially cancelled for the Middle East region.

The board clarified that Class 10th exams previously postponed on March 2, 5, and 6 are now also considered cancelled. No further 10th-grade papers will be held in these regions.

Since the exams won't take place, CBSE will notify students "in due course" about how results will be calculated. A specialised evaluation method is expected soon.

For Class 12th students, the examination scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, has been postponed. This is not a cancellation; a revised date will be announced later.

CBSE will conduct a high-level review on March 7 to decide the fate of Class 12th exams scheduled from Monday, March 9 onwards.

Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj stated the decision followed a "critical review of the prevailing situation" in parts of the Middle East to ensure student safety.

Class 12th students are advised to stay in close contact with their school principals. Schools have been instructed to relay updates immediately as they receive them from the Board.
