CBSE 12th Re-Evaluation 2026 Commences: 11 Lakh Answer Sheets Demanded

 CBSE has started the Class 12 re-evaluation process for this year. Around 4.04 lakh students have requested 11.31 lakh evaluated answer sheets. The demand for answer booklets has increased due to alleged discrepancies in the OSM system.

 Allegation of discrepancies

Students complained about unchecked responses, calculation errors, incomplete evaluations, blurred scans, and technical issues while accessing their answer sheets.

CBSE Revised Fee for Reevaluation

Students will now be charged Rs 100 per subject to obtain copies of answer books and marks verification. Re-evaluation charges will apply per question.

Steps to apply for obtaining a scanned answer sheet

1. Visit the official CBSE website 2. Go to the "Apply for Answer Book" link. 3. Log in using your Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID. 4. Select the subjects you need and pay the fee of Rs 100 per subject 5. Your answer sheet will be available

 Steps for verification of marks 

After receiving the scanned answer copy, check it thoroughly If you find any discrepancies, go to the "Apply for Verification" link on the official website Choose the subject and pay the required fee.

Steps to apply for re-evaluation of questions

After verification, if you think an answer is under-marked, log into the portal and select "Apply for Re-evaluation". Choose the specific questions you want to be reviewed You have to pay the revaluation fee of Rs 25 per question. Submit your application, and download the confirmation receipt.
